RAINN is the strongest voice against sexual violence.

RAINN was one of the largest organizations to advocate for the creation of VAWA (Violence Against Women Act), which covers sexual assault, domestic violence, and stalking. It continues to be active in supporting legislation that protects victims. It also educates the public on the consequences of sexual violence and empowers people to take action against it.

RAINN is the only national organization dedicated solely to helping survivors of sexual assault. RAINN operates the National Sexual Assault Hotline.

RAINN has many volunteers nationwide that receive specialized training in evidence collection and interviewing.
